1. Light belt body. PVG conveyor belts are much lighter than steel cord belts of the same grade with lower power consumption. This advantage is critical for long conveying systems, enabling the adoption of smaller driving units and long-term energy conservation. 2. PVG conveyor belts feature good flexibility and thin thickness, allowing conveyors to be equipped with pulleys of smaller diameters. 3. PVG conveyor belts boast high transverse strength (the MT668-2008 standard sets no limit on transverse strength) and excellent longitudinal tear resistance. 4. Flexible and fast jointing methods are available, including belt fastener connection and vulcanized splicing. The joints deliver high strength, generally retaining 65–90% of the belt’s rated tensile strength, and are easy to replace and repair. 5. The cover rubber of PVG conveyor belts offers outstanding abrasion resistance and tear strength, along with superior safety properties such as flame retardancy and antistatic performance. In addition, the thickness and profile of the cover rubber can be customized freely.
