On the morning of February 24, 2025, the 9th General Assembly of Members of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association (abbreviated as the Association) grandly opened in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. More than 600 attendees including relevant officials from the Second Department of Equipment Manufacturing Industry, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation, Chairman of the 8th Council of the Association, other leaders, distinguished guests and enterprise representatives were present at the meeting.
The General Assembly specially invited Ye Dingda, Vice President of China Machinery Industry Federation, to read out the Notice on the Review Result of Candidates for Person-in-Charges of the 9th Council of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association issued by the Society Work Department of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and delivered an important speech. In his address, he expressed satisfaction with the steady development of the heavy machinery industry and affirmed the work of the Association. Meanwhile, he urged the heavy machinery industry and enterprises to fully recognize new challenges brought by downward pressure on economic operation, stay committed to high-quality development, attach importance to core technological innovation, and make greater contributions to the development of China's machinery industry.
The General Assembly conducted secret ballot voting in strict accordance with the Measures for the Election of Member Representatives of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association and the Articles of Association of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association. Under the organization and supervision of the vote counting panel, the 9th Council of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association was established, consisting of 217 Council members, 25 persons at and above Vice Chairman level, and 45 Executive Council members.
The successful convening of the 9th General Assembly of Members and the 1st Session of the 9th Council of China Heavy Machinery Industry Association marks that facing new starting points, new opportunities and new challenges, the 9th Council of the Association will live up to its mission, take proactive actions, forge ahead hand in hand with all industry counterparts, seize the day, and contribute new wisdom and strength to advancing the high-quality development of China's heavy machinery industry!
